Our products use NFC technology to let you tap your phone on them and instantly open your playlist. It's the same technology used for Apple Pay and other contactless payments.
The NFC reader location varies by phone model. For most iPhones, it's near the top of the back. For Android phones and other models, see our NFC Reader Location Guide. Make sure NFC is enabled in your phone settings (NFC Settings Guide).
Ensure that:
- You know where your phone's NFC reader is located (NFC Reader Location Guide)
- NFC is enabled in your phone settings (NFC Settings Guide)
- You're holding your phone close to the product for 2-3 seconds
iPhone 6 and newer models work perfectly. Most Android phones from 2014 onward are compatible. To verify compatibility, search "(your phone model) NFC reader" online.
No app required. The NFC technology works with your phone's built-in features.
